The Unfinished Season

The Joy Continues…

In the final weeks of Bob’s life, he was hard at work on a new season of his iconic show, The Joy of Painting. The original paintings were completed, but Bob passed before he could reproduce his artwork for television viewing. Recently, these paintings were given new life as the Bob Ross company, in conjunction with painter Nic Hankins, put together this final season that Bob had planned, and began airing new episodes of The Joy of Painting for the first time in 30 years.

Nic Hankins has been painting in Bob Ross’ style since he was 11 years old, and has previously done work alongside the Bob Ross company with their YouTube series, Keeping the Bob Ross Dream Alive. Episodes of the unfinished season have already begun airing on PBS stations across America, meaning that fans of Bob Ross can, once again, kick back on the sofa with a tall glass of iced tea and watch the magic unfold.

What to expect for 2025

The first thirteen classes I am teaching for 2025 will all be episodes of the unfinished season. These are some of the most unique paintings ever featured on The Joy of Painting, and I can’t wait to share them with the you.
